We’ll build the refreshed site in a test location, without interfering with your existing site. Once everything is ready, we’ll make the new site live, with minimal disruption.
The Website Refresh Process
We’ll take you through our 4-step website development process:-
1. Discovery and direction
Together we investigate what you want to achieve with your website, what your goals and audience are, what’s working and what’s not working with the current site. We listen to ideas you have for the new version of the site and we put together a briefing for the project.
2. Design – look and feel
We design a website prototype on our test server, with a few sample pages. We use this to refine and agree the look and feel for your website.
3. Build – structure and content
We develop the full website, importing current content, excluding what’s no longer needed, improving layouts to fit the refreshed look. That’s usually done on our test server, or, depending on the size of the site, at a test location on your own server.
4. Launch and support
When you are happy with the site, we make it live. We provide education on how to edit and support, by email or phone, if you have questions in the following weeks.
What Else You Might Need
We can provide website hosting, if you decide it’s time to move hosting as well as refresh your website.
As part of the refresh, you may have got some new brand assets, such as Logo, Colours, Fonts, Imagery, Style guide, Messaging. We will work with your new or existing brand assets to ensure that your refreshed website fits your look and style. Or we can help you find a Graphic Designer if you’d like to get some formal brand assets in place before we start.
